Elite Medical Educators of Beverly will now be offering the Emergency Medical Technician Program at Whittier Tech. If you are thinking of a career in law enforcement, public safety, or medicine, the team from Elite will deliver the highest quality medical education so you can maximize your educational experience and feel confident you have gained the knowledge needed in critical situations.
COURSE OVERVIEW
Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) provide life-saving medical care at the scene of medical emergencies and during ambulance transport of ill and injured patients to the hospital emergency room.
This 150-hour EMT training program with Elite Medical Educators, Inc. offers comprehensive classroom training, and a third rider observation program to observe EMS operations with an ambulance ride-along.
The EMT training program prepares students for the evaluation and treatment of various medical emergencies, including: cardiac arrest, stroke, poisoning, burns, fractured bones, obstructed airways, emergency child birth, and severe bleeding.
Students also receive a CPR Healthcare Provider Card from the American Heart Association upon successful completion.
After successfully completing the EMT course, students receive an Elite Medical Educators, Inc. certificate and are eligible for the state certification examination. The state certification examination will be on site at Whittier.
EMT Basic medical skills include; Emergency Care Training, Anatomy and Physiology,Patient Assessment and Vital Signs ,Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, Spinal Immobilization, Control of Bleeding and Shock, Bandaging and Splinting and Airway Obstruction
