First Week of School Information

Whittier Tech is looking forward to opening the 2018-2019 school year this week!

On Tuesday, August 28th, new students will report for a half day of orientation. Lunch will be served.

On Wednesday, August 29th, all students will report for the first full day of school.

Classes will be held on Thursday as well, and then we will break for the Labor Day holiday, with no school Friday, August 31st through Monday, September 3rd.

School will resume Tuesday September 4th.

We are aware that many of our surrounding districts are planing half days because of the forecasted warm temperatures. Whittier has air conditioning in many of its classrooms and common areas, including the cafeteria, library, auditorium, and other areas throughout the building.

We will continue to monitor the outside and inside temperatures, but we plan to conduct our opening week activities as scheduled.
