Culinary Arts student places second in statewide restaurant competition

For her creation of a unique and viable restaurant concept, Senior Maggie McGonacle, a student in the Hospitality/Culinary Program, placed second in the Restaurant Management Competition at the 12th Annual Massachusetts ProStart Student Invitational.

The event showcases the talent of the area’s future chefs, restaurateurs and industry leaders, and was hosted at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough on Feb. 12 by The Massachusetts Restaurant Association Educational Foundation.

Students from 14 high schools across the state competed and the top two winners were awarded scholarships to top hospitality management and culinary schools.
