Our January Student of the Month is Samuel Lytle.
Sam is a sophomore student in our Electronics/Robotics program. Sam is the student of Allison and Steven Lytle of Haverhill.
Sam was nominated by his shop teacher Mr. Hobbs, who praised his strong work ethic and pointed to him as a role model for his peers. The themes of hard work and kindness prevailed when speaking to Dr. Whitney and Ms. Cook about Sam - they praised his willingness to challenge himself, be kind to others, and also revealed his exceptional skill in the world of music, with an "encyclopedic knowledge of bands" and the ability to play multiple instruments. His teachers shared "He responds with careful attention to all feedback, and has improved dramatically in his attention to those around him--and how he interacts with his peers. Sam has become a model student; a real example to others."
We are so grateful to have Sam as a role model and leader at Whittier Tech and look forward to seeing him continue to grow and challenge himself!
Congratulations, Sam!
