The February Student of the Month is Xavier Hartford.
Xavier is a Grade 9 student in Plumbing & Heating. He is the student of Jennifer Hartford-Miller and Jason Miller of Haverhill.
Xavier was nominated by Director of Pupil Personnel Services Kristine Morrison. She shared that during his Exploratory Rotation in Culinary, Xavier was responsible for working the register at the Poet's Inn Cafe. Her card was not working when she went to pay for her order. Another nearby staff member was nearby and offered to cover the cost but before they could do so, Xavier had already used his own money to pay for Ms. Morrison's drink and stated that he just wanted to do something nice for another person that day.
This year the theme at Whittier Tech is kindness. We are always looking for new ways to show kindness to others and our in school community. Without asking for any special recognition, Xavier embodied the Wildcat spirit of kindness towards others.
