The May Student of the Month is Shealeigh Sullivan.
Shealeigh is a senior who will be graduating from our CAD/Drafting program. She is the student of Kenneth & Katrina Sullivan of Haverhill.
Shealeigh was nominated by SkillsUSA OCC Team Coach Ms. Bragg. Ms. Bragg shared "Shealeigh represents the best of what Whittier Tech students aim to be. She is one of the "quiet ones" ... but she has done more in terms of community service than any other student that I know of."
Her CAD/Drafting teacher Ms. Pomer also spoke to Shealeigh's leadership by example. "Shealeigh is an exceptional senior who consistently leads with integrity, kindness, and professionalism. As our Week 1 Shop Manager, she has dedicated her senior year to strengthening her project management, leadership, inventory management, and interpersonal skills. She arrives early each morning to open the shop and sets the tone for the day through her reliability and positive example. Supportive of her peers and thoughtful in her decision-making, she embodies the qualities of a true student leader. Shealeigh is not only highly capable, but also a genuinely kind and respectful young woman who uplifts everyone around her."
In addition to being heavily involved in activities on campus at Whittier, Shealeigh is also a Girl Scout and volunteers at Emmaus House in Haverhill.
We are so excited to watch Shealeigh receive her diploma later this month and thank her for being an excellent Whittier Wildcat for the past 4 years.
