Last night, the Whittier Tech community came together to celebrate the outstanding accomplishments, dedication, and perseverance of students during our Annual Awards Night. Families, friends, and staff filled the auditorium to recognize the many Wildcats who have gone above and beyond both academically and within their career and technical education programs.
The evening showcased the hard work, determination, and pride that students demonstrate every day at Whittier Tech while highlighting the strong sense of community that supports their success.
One of the evening’s most meaningful moments was the pinning ceremony for students who successfully completed the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program. As each student received their pin, they were recognized for their compassion, professionalism, and commitment to caring for others as they prepare to enter the healthcare field.
Students were also honored for exceptional academic achievement and dedication throughout the school year. Awards presented during the evening included recognition for:
Perfect Attendance — students who demonstrated remarkable dedication by maintaining excellent attendance throughout the school year.
Scholastic Achievement — students recognized for consistently earning high academic honors across multiple marking periods.
A special shout-out goes to senior Ashley Potvin, a Design and Visual Communications student from Haverhill, who was recognized as the only member of the Class of 2026 to achieve perfect attendance for all four years at Whittier Tech — an incredible accomplishment that reflects outstanding commitment and dedication.
The evening also celebrated five Wildcats who recently earned gold medals at the SkillsUSA Massachusetts State Competition and will soon travel to Atlanta to represent Whittier Tech (and Massachusetts) at the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference this June:

Throughout the evening, applause filled the auditorium as students crossed the stage to receive their special recognitions. The celebration reflected not only individual achievement but also the pride and spirit that define the Whittier Tech community.
Awards Night serves as an important reminder of the many ways Wildcats excel — in the classroom, in their technical shops, through leadership opportunities, and in service to others. The accomplishments celebrated last night represent countless hours of hard work, determination, and support from teachers, families, and mentors along the way.
