Whittier Tech is proud to announce that four senior student-athletes have officially committed to continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level. These students have demonstrated exceptional dedication both on the field and in their career and technical (CTE) programs, and their achievements mark a proud moment for the Whittier Tech community.
Kaylee Habib, a standout pitcher from Haverhill in Whittier Tech’s Electrical program, has signed on to play softball at Wentworth Institute of Technology. Habib will join the Leopards Softball team, bringing with her an impressive athletic résumé that includes over 500 career strikeouts, 100 career hits, two-time league MVP honors, and recognition as a CAC All-Star and Eagle-Tribune All-Star.
Two standout lacrosse players who have helped elevate Whittier Tech’s program have signed on to play at Rivier University: Conor Walsh and Brogan Arivella.
Conor Walsh, of Amesbury, is a versatile and high-scoring offensive force who plays attack for Whittier Tech. A student in the Electrical program, Walsh has amassed over 400 career points, showcasing his skill, adaptability, and leadership on the field. He will bring his dynamic playmaking ability to the Raiders Lacrosse team.
Brogan Arivella, a student from Haverhill in the HVAC-R program, is known for his defensive tenacity and technical skill. He plays defense, long stick midfield, and serves as a faceoff specialist, making him one of the most versatile and reliable players on the field. Arivella’s commitment, grit, and field awareness have made him a cornerstone of Whittier’s defense, and he is poised to contribute significantly to the Raiders Lacrosse team.
Whittier Tech Lacrosse Head Coach Billy Eagan commended both players for being two-year captains. “These two players are the epitome of what a coach looks for in a player. They are dedicated and inclusive leaders who are directly responsible for the rapid growth of the program.”
Rounding out this impressive group of student-athletes is Corey Deziel, an Electrical student from Merrimac, who has signed to play baseball at Fisher College. A two-time team captain, Deziel has been the starting shortstop since his sophomore year, anchoring the Wildcats’ defense and leading the team at the plate. He has been named a CAC All-League selection and an Eagle-Tribune All-Star in both his sophomore and junior seasons. Deziel batted .325 as a sophomore, .406 as a junior, and is currently hitting an impressive .485 as a senior.
“Corey is an excellent defensive shortstop and the leading hitter for the Wildcats,” said Whittier Tech Baseball Head Coach Peter Arsenault. “Corey is a leader on and off the field and is a great kid who is a joy to coach.”
“We are incredibly proud of these student-athletes for their hard work, leadership, and perseverance,” said Athletic Director Kevin Bradley. “Their success is a testament to the balance they’ve maintained between rigorous CTE training and competitive athletics.”
Whittier Tech congratulates these four seniors as they prepare to take the next step in both their academic and athletic journeys.
