🌳Growing Together Through Welding 🌳
Adult students in Whittier Tech’s ESOL Welding Class made their mark—literally—by crafting custom metal leaves for the Whittier “welding family tree.” Each leaf represents a student, and each branch a class, symbolizing unity, growth, and shared cultural pride. With support from Community Action Inc. of Haverhill and funding from a MASS STEP Grant, this unique program celebrates both skill-building and heritage. Instructor Chris Gerber inspired students to create a class “flag” using colors from their home country flags—adding even more heart to the art. 💪
