A deal is a deal… and at Whittier Tech, we stand by it. 🎉

Earlier this year, HVAC-R Instructor Kyle Wade challenged his sophomores with a goal: pass their OSHA certification on the first try, and they could choose the color of his beard.

They delivered.

So did he… (swipe to see 👀)

Congratulations to our HVAC-R sophomores for earning their OSHA certifications and proving that hard work pays off with a little fun along the way. Mr. Wade, we think the color suits you.

🐾 Wildcat Wednesday 🐾

Today, we recognize Mr. Paul Boucher, Masonry Instructor, who teaches students in grades 9 through 12 during the day and also shares his expertise as a Masonry instructor in Whittier Tech’s evening program.

For the past 10 years, Mr. Boucher has helped students build the technical skills and professional habits that are essential to success in the masonry trade. In his classroom and shop, learning is hands-on and purposeful. Students quickly see the value of their work as they develop real-world skills that connect directly to future careers.

Mr. Boucher enjoys guiding students as they grow in confidence and craftsmanship, encouraging them to take pride in their work and approach each day with focus and determination. His message to students is simple but powerful: show up ready to learn, solve problems, take responsibility for your work, and always give your best effort.

Outside of Whittier, Mr. Boucher enjoys spending time with his family, whether that means four-wheeling, tubing, boating, or relaxing at the lake.

Thank you, Mr. Boucher, for helping students build strong foundations both in the trade and in life.

Tomorrow’s RAAC Meeting
Whittier Tech students brought their skills beyond the classroom and into the State House. Yesterday, Culinary students Navaiah Smith, Marilyn Vizcaino, Keegan Crosby, and Johnston Briley proudly represented Whittier Tech at the 2026 Day on the Hill, where vocational students from across Massachusetts showcased their training while supporting important conversations around public education. Alongside instructors Krisztina Perron and Nicole Grupposo, students helped demonstrate the real-world impact of career and technical education, serving meals and engaging in a day centered on advocacy, leadership, and connection. Superintendent Maureen Lynch was there to support and celebrate our students as they represented the strength and talent of our school community. We also extend our thanks to School Committee member Johanna True for her continued support of Whittier Tech and its students. Opportunities like this highlight what it truly means to be “Working on Your Future.” #WeAreWhittierTech #CareerAndTechnicalEducation

Flour on the table. Confidence growing with every roll.

On Saturday, March 29, students rolled, shaped, and created fresh pasta from scratch during our Pasta Perfection workshop. Led by instructor Krisztina Perron and supported by senior culinary student Lyla Capuci, the experience brought technique to life through hands-on learning.

From dough to finished pasta, every step reflected skill, focus, and pride in the craft.

For 20 years, Superintendent Maureen Lynch has been a steady and guiding presence at Whittier Tech, leading with purpose, experience, and an unwavering commitment to students.

From her early days as Director of Guidance and Admissions to serving as Principal and, for the past decade, Superintendent, Mrs. Lynch has helped shape the school's direction and success at every level. Her leadership reflects a deep belief in the potential of every student and the power of a strong school community. "Our faculty and staff work tirelessly to make Whittier Tech the best vocational school in the state. We are all focused on doing the very best we can for our students."

Her advice to students is simple but meaningful: "Take advantage of every opportunity. At Whittier Tech, those opportunities are everywhere."
