Earlier this year, HVAC-R Instructor Kyle Wade challenged his sophomores with a goal: pass their OSHA certification on the first try, and they could choose the color of his beard.
They delivered.
So did he… (swipe to see 👀)
Congratulations to our HVAC-R sophomores for earning their OSHA certifications and proving that hard work pays off with a little fun along the way. Mr. Wade, we think the color suits you.

Today, we recognize Mr. Paul Boucher, Masonry Instructor, who teaches students in grades 9 through 12 during the day and also shares his expertise as a Masonry instructor in Whittier Tech’s evening program.
For the past 10 years, Mr. Boucher has helped students build the technical skills and professional habits that are essential to success in the masonry trade. In his classroom and shop, learning is hands-on and purposeful. Students quickly see the value of their work as they develop real-world skills that connect directly to future careers.
Mr. Boucher enjoys guiding students as they grow in confidence and craftsmanship, encouraging them to take pride in their work and approach each day with focus and determination. His message to students is simple but powerful: show up ready to learn, solve problems, take responsibility for your work, and always give your best effort.
Outside of Whittier, Mr. Boucher enjoys spending time with his family, whether that means four-wheeling, tubing, boating, or relaxing at the lake.
Thank you, Mr. Boucher, for helping students build strong foundations both in the trade and in life.

On Saturday, March 29, students rolled, shaped, and created fresh pasta from scratch during our Pasta Perfection workshop. Led by instructor Krisztina Perron and supported by senior culinary student Lyla Capuci, the experience brought technique to life through hands-on learning.
From dough to finished pasta, every step reflected skill, focus, and pride in the craft.
