✨ Freshmen Wildcat Speaker Series

For the 4th year in a row, Whittier Tech alumni are returning to share their stories with the Freshmen Class during two days of introduction and team-building.

This year’s featured speaker is Aurora Vellante, MS., a 2011 Health Occ student, former WT athlete, and now a Clinical Assistant Professor in Kinesiology and Director of Exercise Science. Aurora will share her journey from Whittier to her professional career, reflecting on work ethic, high school experiences, and making the most of every opportunity.

👏 This morning we carried on a Whittier tradition—the Clap-In! Our staff and Student Leaders lined up outside to welcome the Class of 2029 and all new Wildcats on their very first day.

This summer, Whittier Tech Health Assisting juniors Tyler Stone of Groveland, Ayesha Ehtesham, and Stacey Minaya, both of Haverhill, volunteered at Whittier Rehab Hospital in Haverhill.

Reflecting on the experience, Tyler shared, “I had an amazing opportunity to make sure patients had the respiratory equipment they needed to feel as comfortable as possible.”

Special thanks to Whittier Rehab Hospital for welcoming our students, and to Health Assisting instructor Kim Malynn for guiding them through this opportunity.

🍽️ Whittier Tech Culinary Students Are Cooking Up Career Credentials! This year, 15 seniors in the Culinary Arts program earned their ServSafe Food Manager Certification—a nationally recognized credential in food safety and restaurant management. 📐 Whittier Tech CAD Students Are Earning National Drafting Certifications! This year, students in the Computer-Aided Design program achieved multiple certifications through the American Design Drafting Association (ADDA): ✔️ 1 dual-certified senior earned both the Apprentice Architectural and Apprentice Mechanical Draftsman certifications ✔️ 3 eleventh and twelfth graders earned the Apprentice Drafter Certification ✔️ 1 senior also passed the Apprentice Mechanical Draftsman certification These accomplishments reflect the technical precision and dedication of our CAD students and instructors. #WeAreWhittierTech #CareerAndTechnicalEducation #WorkforceOfTomorrow
