🇺🇸 Honoring Our Heroes 🇺🇸 This Memorial Day, Whittier Tech SkillsUSA students proudly participated in Haverhill’s Memorial Day Parade and placed flags across our campus in honor of fallen service members. Special tribute was paid to PFC Evan O’Neill, a beloved Whittier Tech Class of 2002 graduate who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving in Afghanistan. Evan, an Auto Tech student, was more than a soldier — he was a Patriot, a scholar, an athlete, and a friend. A member of the United Nations Debating Team and the National Technical Honor Society, Evan answered the call to serve after 9/11, following a proud family tradition of military service. He gave his life on September 29, 2003, at just 19 years old, earning the Purple Heart, Bronze Star for Valor, and Combat Infantryman Badge for his bravery. His memorial, located on our campus, is a place of remembrance and respect for all who pass by. Evan’s legacy endures in the hearts of his Whittier family. We salute you, Evan.
