Members of the Multicultural Club, under the guidance of advisor Mrs. DiMauro, continued a heartfelt tradition by creating handmade Valentine’s Day cards for Whittier Tech’s custodial staff. Knowing many members of the custodial team speak Spanish, students thoughtfully wrote every message in Spanish, making each card even more personal and meaningful.
Students had a wonderful time creating the cards and were proud to present them today, sharing appreciation, gratitude, and kindness with the team who helps keep our school running every day.

Senior Ben Mejia of Haverhill brought artistry and craftsmanship together in art class by creating a handmade bowl from start to finish. Ben shaped the piece on the pottery wheel, fired it in the kiln, and thoughtfully selected the glaze colors, guiding every step of the process with care and precision.
Outstanding work, Ben. Your creativity and craftsmanship shine through in every detail.

Grade 9 Biology students in Mrs. Holmes’ and Mrs. Ihle’s classes recently took part in a hands on anatomy lab as part of their current unit of study. Through observation, exploration, and guided learning, students examined body systems, made connections to human anatomy, and strengthened their understanding of how living organisms function. Engaged and focused throughout the experience, students embraced the opportunity to learn by doing.

Now in his eighth year at Whittier Tech, Mr. Gerber values the endless opportunities available to students across every shop. No matter the pathway they choose, he believes Whittier Tech opens doors that help students discover their interests, build skills, and grow with confidence.
A fun fact that speaks to his hands-on spirit. Mr. Gerber and his wife are first-generation farmers.
His advice for students is simple and empowering. "Say yes to every opportunity Whittier Tech has to offer. The worst thing that can happen is that you learn something new."
We are grateful for the guidance, expertise, and encouragement Mr. Gerber brings to his students each day.
