The Environmental Club recently transformed the library with a holiday tree dedicated to “nature resolutions.” Students and staff are invited to write down one environmentally friendly action they are willing to try in 2026. Each resolution will be displayed on the tree like an ornament, creating a visual reminder of our shared commitment to sustainability.
The display also features a comparison of the environmental impact of real versus artificial trees, along with guidance on how to dispose of real trees responsibly after the holidays.
Stop by the library, add your resolution, and swipe through to see how thoughtful choices can make a difference.

After children from across the city shopped for gifts alongside members of the Haverhill Police Department, Haverhill Fire Department, and Pridestar Ambulance, Interact Club students stepped in to help wrap presents and keep the holiday celebration going. Adding to the festivities, Whittier Tech’s Culinary Department contributed delicious holiday treats for families and volunteers to enjoy. The event reflected the power of community partnership and the impact of service during the holiday season.

From the studios of Whittier Tech to the mountains of Colorado, Cassie Connor has built a remarkable creative career as the owner of Cassie Connor Photography. Her passion for design and storytelling began in Whittier’s Graphic Communications program and carried her through the New England School of Photography and beyond.
Reflecting on her journey, Cassie shares how Whittier helped spark the path she’s still following today:
“Taking the Graphic Design program at Whittier confirmed my love for photography which I pursued further at the New England School of Photography in Boston. That took me to a job in Keystone, Colorado, with one bag of luggage and a camera in hand. Here I am years later living my dream career as a photographer in the mountains of CO.”

Last Saturday, our Evening Education kitchen transformed into a full ramen workshop as participants rolled up their sleeves for The Ultimate Noodle Bowl Experience. In this hands-on, four-hour class, students crafted silky noodles from scratch, explored essential Asian ingredients, and simmered two incredible broths — a rich chashu pork broth and a flavorful vegetarian coconut curry miso broth.
From marinated eggs to seasonal veggies, every topping was made with care before everyone sat down to enjoy their personalized bowl. And the best part? Students left with the recipes and confidence to recreate the magic at home.
Stay tuned for more culinary classes coming your way!

Have you ever wondered what happens when student talent meets community impact?
Under the direction of CAD and Drafting Instructor Emily Shea, seniors Emanuelle Portes and Jayda Jatoba presented their Forever Home Keepsake Initiative to members of the Whittier Administrative Team. Their student-led proposal aims to partner with local shelters to design and handcraft custom seasonal ornaments for families adopting a pet, giving each “Gotcha Day” a meaningful keepsake.
During their presentation, Emanuelle and Jayda shared concept sketches, material needs, cost considerations, and potential partnerships. The Administrative Team enthusiastically approved the initiative, giving these Wildcats the green light to bring their vision to life.
Stay tuned as their idea transforms into a heartfelt reality.

CAD Drafting students used AutoCAD software and an Epilog Fusion Pro laser to engrave the Culinary Arts logo onto a pumpkin pie. It’s a fun example of how computer science connects disciplines and brings new possibilities to life at Whittier Tech.
Keep an eye out — the next lasered pie may show up at the Poet’s Inn.

Today, The Poet’s Inn proudly welcomed guests from the Merrimac Senior Center for a festive buffet lunch. A special shout-out to Mrs. Perron and our incredible bakery team for crafting a traditional yule log that made the meal even sweeter.
