Whittier Tech has received many questions about the new state mandated admissions lottery. To ensure families have clear and accurate information, we are sharing this brief FAQ about the updated process. These changes are required by new Massachusetts regulations and are not changes initiated by Whittier Tech.

Students must still meet Whittier’s academic, technical, attendance, and conduct expectations once enrolled, and our commitment to supporting families through the admissions process remains the same.

For additional questions, please contact admissions@whittiertech.org or visit the Admissions page at whittiertech.org.

“Whittier has helped me get to where I am today by giving me the chance to get out of my comfort zone and try a trade I wouldn’t normally picture myself in.”

A Wildcat win! 🏆 Whittier took Best Overall Float at Haverhill’s 61st Annual Santa Parade. Thanks to everyone who brought The Island of Misfit Toys to life — especially Art instructor Paul Murray and our Art program, who work hand-in-hand with Carpentry each year to make the float happen. HVAC, Electrical, Metal Fab, and Masonry also pitched in to help bring this year’s float to life. ❤️💛 #WeAreWhittierTech

Señora DiMauro’s Spanish 1 classes brought some friendly competition to their Capítulo 2 study of Las Cosas del Aula.

Students worked in teams to identify and label classroom objects, racing to list ten items in just five minutes before taping each label to the correct spot. The class even agreed on the easiest object to identify… la profesora herself.

Whittier Tech Dental Assisting instructors Ms. Deveau and Ms. Costa spent their Saturday giving back in a remarkable way.

Both instructors volunteered at Massachusetts’ first Mission of Mercy event, a large volunteer-run clinic hosted by the Massachusetts Dental Society that provides free dental care to community members who may not otherwise have access. From fillings and extractions to root canals and oral health education, hundreds of patients received care grounded in compassion and teamwork.

Ms. Deveau and Ms. Costa shared that it was inspiring to work alongside dental professionals and students from across the state to support healthier smiles for all.

Moments like these reflect the Whittier Way… serving the community with skill, heart, and purpose.
