🇺🇸 Honoring Our Heroes 🇺🇸
This Memorial Day, Whittier Tech SkillsUSA students proudly participated in Haverhill’s Memorial Day Parade and placed flags across our campus in honor of fallen service members. Special tribute was paid to PFC Evan O’Neill, a beloved Whittier Tech Class of 2002 graduate who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving in Afghanistan.
Evan, an Auto Tech student, was more than a soldier — he was a Patriot, a scholar, an athlete, and a friend. A member of the United Nations Debating Team and the National Technical Honor Society, Evan answered the call to serve after 9/11, following a proud family tradition of military service.
He gave his life on September 29, 2003, at just 19 years old, earning the Purple Heart, Bronze Star for Valor, and Combat Infantryman Badge for his bravery. His memorial, located on our campus, is a place of remembrance and respect for all who pass by.
Evan’s legacy endures in the hearts of his Whittier family. We salute you, Evan. We will never forget. 💙

🔧 Wrapping up 8 weeks of hands-on learning!
On Friday, May 16, Whittier Tech celebrated the final day of this year’s CVTE Exploratory rotation with a special breakfast at the Poet’s Inn. Seniors from Amesbury, Haverhill, Ipswich, Pentucket, and Triton High Schools spent time exploring trades like Advanced Manufacturing, Auto Body, Carpentry, Culinary, Marine Tech, Masonry, Metal Fabrication, Plumbing, and more.
Now in its fourth year, this program offers students a direct pathway into advanced career training through CTI grant funding or Adult Ed at Whittier.

Upcoming Schedule Reminder – Math MCAS Exams
📅 Dates: May 20 and May 21, 2025
Students in Grade 10 will arrive at school at the regular time to take the Math MCAS exams. Students in Grades 9, 11, and 12 will follow a three-hour delayed schedule, with school starting at 10:20 AM.
🚌 Transportation Details:
Grade 10 students will take the bus at their normal pickup time.
Grades 9, 11, and 12 students who normally take the bus at 6:25 AM will be picked up at 9:25 AM instead.
Buses will be provided for all grade levels. Thank you for your cooperation, and best of luck to our Grade 10 students on their exams.
