Whittier Tech dental assisting students brought confidence and curiosity to the Yankee Dental Conference in Boston last Thursday. Sophomores and juniors dressed to impress as they explored vendor exhibits, connected with industry professionals, and tested cutting edge dental products before they even hit the market.
With instructors Caitlin Deveau, Tish Costa, and Ashley Rodriguez by their side, students experienced firsthand what a future in dental assisting can look like.
The momentum continued Friday when Caitlin Deveau and Tish Costa returned for a hands on Orthodontic Assisting course, bringing new techniques and real world knowledge straight back to the classroom.
That is career readiness in action.

A little care goes a long way. 💗
Mrs. Picanso’s Junior Cosmetology students continue their meaningful visits to AdviniaCare, offering residents relaxing manicures once each term. To make the visit even more special, residents also received Valentine’s cards created by Mrs. Picanso’s Peer to Peer Club. Moments like these reflect the power of connection, care, and community.

Wildcat Wednesday continues with a spotlight on Mr. Wade, HVACR Instructor and SkillsUSA Advisor at Whittier Tech.
Now in his fifth year at Whittier Tech, Mr. Wade values the atmosphere that makes the school both a fun and productive place to work. He credits the students and staff for creating a community where learning and growth thrive.
Outside the classroom and shop, Mr. Wade enjoys cooking barbecue and riding his motorcycle.
His advice for students is simple and motivating. "Do not be afraid to try something new. We do not know what we can do until we try."
We appreciate Mr. Wade’s commitment to hands-on learning, leadership, and student success at Whittier Tech.

🦷 Learning looks even better with a smile.
Junior Dental Assisting students at Whittier Tech, led by Ms. Deveau, recently visited the Preschool and Pre K classroom at Merrimack Child Care Center to share the importance of oral health.
Through age appropriate activities, conversations, and demonstrations, students taught young learners about brushing, healthy habits, and caring for their teeth every day.
