🔧 Field Trip: Engineering Immersion Tour Juniors from Whittier Tech’s Engineering and Electronics programs explored the world of innovation during an Engineering Immersion Tour at UMass Lowell. Students participated in hands-on activities across Electrical, Civil, Chemical/Nuclear, Plastics, and Industrial/Mechanical Engineering—all led by UMass professors and current students. The visit concluded with a Q&A session with the admissions team, offering valuable insight into college pathways and careers in engineering. Special thanks to Mrs. Szymaszek and Mr. Beaton for chaperoning this incredible experience. #WeAreWhittierTech #CareerAndTechnicalEducation

On October 29th, our CAD Drafting and Machine Tech students had an inspiring visit to the Merrimack Library, where they met Robert, a talented artist keeping his father’s legacy alive. His father was a master metalworker, creating everything from antique cars to miniature houses—turning imperfect metal into incredible works of art. Today, Robert honors his father’s creativity through watercolor paintings, blending his father’s metal masterpieces with family portraits and playful haikus. Over the past 12 years, more than 25,000 people have experienced their story firsthand. Truly a lesson in creativity, craftsmanship, and keeping memories alive! ✨

🐾 MSPCA Towel & Blanket Drive at Whittier Tech!
As the colder months approach, Whittier Tech’s Peer to Peer Club is collecting clean towels and gently used blankets to support the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (MSPCA)—an organization that cares for animals in shelters across the state.
Donation boxes will be available in the cafeteria throughout November. Together, let’s help bring a little extra warmth and comfort to our furry friends in need. 💛

🍂 Leave the Leaves! 🍂
Each weekend this fall, the sound of leaf blowers fills the air—but have you ever wondered what happens if you just let the leaves be? It may seem simple, but leaving the leaves does incredible things for nature!
Whittier’s Environmental Club encourages our community to “leave the leaves” to support the insects, bees, birds, and small animals that rely on leaf litter for warmth and shelter during the winter. Even raking leaves into garden beds or under trees can make a difference. 🌿
Let’s work together to protect habitats and help nature thrive! 🌎
