🐾 Wildcat Wednesday 🐾

Today, we’re featuring Mrs. Kayla Yameen Malone, Medical Assisting Instructor and assistant coach for the girls' lacrosse team.

For the past five years, Mrs. Malone has helped students develop the clinical skills, confidence, and professionalism needed to succeed in the healthcare field. In the Medical Assisting program, she guides students through hands-on learning experiences that prepare them for real-world medical environments while building the strong work habits needed for future careers.

Mrs. Malone appreciates the unique environment at Whittier Tech, where motivated students and dedicated educators work together to help students enter the workforce with both confidence and competence. She values the opportunity to be part of a school that supports students as they grow academically, technically, and personally.

Outside of school, Mrs. Malone has quite the adventurous side. A fun fact about her is that she has gone skydiving.

Her advice to students is to take advantage of every opportunity available at Whittier. Whether it is through shop, athletics, or student activities, stepping outside of your comfort zone can lead to new skills, experiences, and confidence.

Thank you, Mrs. Malone, for supporting students both in the classroom and on the field.

A community tribute, brought to life through craftsmanship and collaboration. Whittier Tech students and staff contributed to the creation of the commemorative plaque for the Deb Lambert Memorial Garden in Ipswich. Advanced Manufacturing students completed the plaque, while CADDrafting students designed the layout used for laser engraving. Masonry students prepared the stone and secured the plaque in place. The stone, sourced from a wooded area on Whittier Tech’s campus, was transported to the site by the school’s Maintenance Department following preparation. This collective effort, alongside many community partners, now stands as a lasting tribute to Deb Lambert’s legacy, surrounded by more than 1,000 daffodils planted in her honor. #WeAreWhittierTech #CareerAndTechnicalEducation
