A new Little Library has found its home in Merrimac! 📚
Whittier Tech Carpentry students recently installed the Little Library in front of the Merrimac Museum at 62 West Main Street. After the installation, students had the opportunity to tour the museum and learn more about the town’s history.
“It was cool seeing all of the town’s history,” shared Mr. Sandlin’s Carpentry class.
Great work bringing this project into the community!

Congratulations to September’s Student of the Month, senior Nicole Daigle of CAD-Drafting!
Nicole was nominated by vocational instructor Scott Robertson, with support from Treacy Shields and other teachers and coaches who have worked with her throughout her time at Whittier Tech.
A tremendous leader in the shop, Nicole stepped up this summer to help run the CAD-Drafting summer program and currently serves as shop manager and a member of the program’s advisory board.
One staff member shared, “Nicole took over all responsibilities... I witnessed her working the machine, managing her responsibilities and her work with the students, and maintaining safety standards — seamlessly.”
Beyond the shop, Nicole has participated in softball and cross country, serves as a peer leader, and works part-time at Market Basket.
Congratulations, Nicole, on this well-deserved recognition!

Meet Kendra Beaudoin, Class of 2009, a Whittier Tech HVAC alum whose journey has brought her right back to where it started.
Today, Kendra is a freshman Biology teacher and Volleyball and Softball coach at Whittier Tech, helping the next generation of Wildcats discover their own paths.
“As an alum, Whittier has always held a special place in my heart. I love that Whittier provides you with an opportunity to find yourself and your path throughout your high school career. There is SOMETHING for EVERYONE here.”

Meet Julia Webster, a first-year Special Education teacher at Whittier Tech who brings that philosophy to her work with students every day.
Outside the classroom, Julia coaches volleyball and enjoys working with students and athletes on mental toughness and leadership. She says the welcoming support from both staff and students has made a lasting impression as she learns the “Whittier Way.”
Her advice to students? “Your day is only as good as your mindset.”
